Into A Canyon, Back in Time

I catch a ride out to the Copper Canyon Lodge, near the Tarahumara hamlet of Cusárare‒"Place of the Eagles”‒some 13 miles south of Creel. Here we are (Cooper and Judy), perched on the edge of Copper Canyon. Another glorious day on the ancient Tarahumara trails.
Mara, Cooper and Peter follow ancient Tarahumara trails to Basirecota hot springs. A day hike from the Copper Canyon Sierra Lodge.
Mara and Cooper were the first to reach the river and the inviting hot springs. Heaven!
At last! The sparkling blue pools were a mesmerizing sight after two days of oftentimes steep, hot and precarious trail hiking.
